Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Care Manager?
A Care Manager is a professional with specialized knowledge and expertise in caring for seniors and persons with disabilities. Sometimes Care Managers are also called case managers, geriatric care managers, elder care managers, service coordinators or care coordinators. Our Care Managers are individuals who evaluate your situation, identify solutions, and work with you to design a plan for maximizing your loved one’s safety, independence and well being.
I’ve heard the term Case Manager, is it the same thing as a Care Manager?
Sometimes Care Managers are also called case managers, geriatric care managers, elder care managers, service coordinators or care coordinators.
What will a Care Manager provide that I or my family cannot?
A professional Care Manager cannot replace the love, support, and care you provide. A Care Manager will serve as additional support for you and your family. Simply put, Care Mangers are hired to help you decrease the stress associated with caring for an aging or disable loved one.
Care Managers can be hired to provide one specific service (i.e., conducting a home safety assessment or providing a list of reputable nursing homes) or they can oversee and manage all of your loved one’s health and well-being needs.
What are your fees?
When families call us, they want information, options, recommendations, and referrals. The ways we accomplish this is by conducting a comprehensive assessment then provide ongoing care management services as requested.
We provide a list of options to help you pay for the services needed. Please call us to discuss your options.
Will my private insurance pay for your services?
